My PoS BMW, which since day one has had more electrical probems than Allen Lee Davis has just got another one.

The OS indicator flashes at double speed, yet all three bulbs are working.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Alternatively if anyone can come and put the heap of pissed-up Bavarian's nasty kebab st out of it's misery please do...

Thanks but wouldn't that affect both sides?

I don't have any mechanical knowledge.

Electrical faults can be weird - so not necessarily. Next stop would be to check the earths (perhaps you've dislodge something in the boot?)

Thanks I'll have a look.

It really is a dreadful car.

The day after it was delivered it started to go pear-shaped, BMW have apologised and given me stuff for all the problems. I've owned BMWs before and will again but this car is absolute rubbish.

Maybe the Lighting control module, mine did a similar thing with the indicators working and then not working on the front plus the headlights started playing up moving up and down and basically blinding people when on! (Xenons on my Z4M). Once replaced under warranty it was fine though dealer said if it wasnt in warranty i'd of been looking at ~£500 for parts and labour.

I had this on my 04. Remember that the front indicator has two bulbs, so if one of them fails you'll get the fast flashing. Mine was a bulb holder needing resoldering - could just be the bulb.

Have fun getting to it.
