So it seems Holden will still build 'em, but not for the states!

Makes business sense I suppose, and they don't get to rape, sorry, charge as much for cars as they do over here on Treasure Island.

A new Clubsport R8 is AUD 65k, so about £32.5k...and a VXR is £35k. Considering the Aus price excludes on roads (rego, stamp duty etc) and the car has come half way round the world to get to you, I don't think you're getting that bad a deal.

Exactly. Cheapest HSV in the world here! Buy them while you can! I suspect once they are gone there will be no more.
Vauxhall will be under new ownership with communist government subsidies, so a large displacement V8 wont go down well with the rank and file.

I cant imagine they are making any money at the price they are selling them at. I also doubt we will get to see the VE2 updates over here which are due out in Oz Q4. But I would like to be wrong smile

The yanks only pay £23,000 for the G8 GXP which is pretty much a LS3 Clubsport R8 with Brembo's and OnStar, but without the nasty tupperware.

ooh ouch! tupperware! there's nothing wrong with a little plastic in the right places! Better than driving some saggy old porker or the ugliness of the American g8 front end!

Which ones supposed to be ugly then? They both seem handsome brutes to me
