I'm fairly sure I've seen this for sale in some supermarkets in the UK - either near the cake decorating/baking stuff/cooking marshmallows or spreads/chocolate/jam isle.

Would you lovely people be kind enough to keep an eye out for it? I've tried Asda, Waitrose and Sainsbury's up norf, but I only remember seeing it in the south.

Thanks so much. I'm desperate for a few jars of it and need to know I can get it somewhere in real life (I don't fancy buying glass jars on the internet)

Ooh its this stuff by the way:

Sheffield.

I reckon it was Asda that I saw it too - but it isn't in the one up here.

Ocado would be great but having to spend £50+ on shopping to get it isn't ideal.

Call me picky but I'm not fabulously happy getting glass sent through the post.

Looking at the ingredients, I do wonder how hard it would be to make it. I do not have a clue what corn syrup is - I wonder if glucose would work as well?

I've not had it in 15 years I reckon.

I want it to make some cupcake icing that isn't buttercream - the desired consistency is like a very soft marshmallow but holding its shape. Thought it might be a goer.

Via the shoe department?!

Thanks Anna that's really sweet of you, but it isn't urgent enough to require a trip back - I'm going to have a go at making my own. Keep those fingers crossed!!

Try some of the local sweet shops (the ones that sell all those "old" sweets in those big jars), i've seen several of them here sell it.

Otherhalf brought home a couple jars only recently when she went to Lakeside (big shopping centre in Essex).

Only costed £ 1.50 per jar and they had it in rasberry & strawberry flavor as well :

Yes, fluff and peanut butter on toast, called a 'fluffernutter' IIRC.

Oh yes

Effing marvellous it was too. Better still with a very thin layer of jam in there too ...

Reading this thread makes me want to do it again. Where did you say you had seen it for sale, LGF?

I'm fairly sure Asda sell it - only I got a friend to have a look last night and they couldn't see it.

I'm now REALLY needing some. It might be a trip to Manchester this weekend.
