Car stalled today - suggestions on what to look for

My 06 VXR stalled today on way home.
All was fine - just toddling along at 30mph, went to turn into my drive and thought it felt as if the car was actually idling a little fast, turn onto drive dipped clutch and car just died.
Turned off ignition and immediately started and seemed ok though possibly slightly hesitant, gave a little rev (dont want to annoy neighbours) and sounded ok, turned off and started again and all seems fine.
Anyone experienced this kind of behaviour before, or got any suggestions as to what this might be ?

had the very same thing to me two montha ago .. sitting at traffice lights , then just cut out!! started car 2 times , then fine ..also ran fine for next 500miles but kept coming up (check engine)..car went on test with the fish he put new throttle body on and been fine last week .... give him a ring ...

Excellent - thanks for that - will call the Fish AM tommorrow. Thankfully only about 15 miles from them.
