fking mosquito's! Mother fking little bds always go for me! Why? My blood is 27 years old and pretty badly treated. Why the hell didn't they go after the much younger blood and skin available at the BBQ last night.

Have a look at Lord Pikey leg left and leg right below.

Left leg

Right Leg

Why does my right leg look like someone put a sodding tennis ball between my calf and my ankle? or as its now known, my cankle.

I know this wasn't worth the effort of the pictures but i feel if there are any mosquitos reading ph tonight that they my fk off and leave me alone! moan

ah, i may owe the mozzys a apology then if that is true. There is a central darkish red area but not much of a bite mark but then i have made a point of not scratching the bejesus out of it like normal so normally they are bleeding at this stage. the area about 3" around it is rock hard.

Sounds to me like a woodpecker has had a go at you.

More common than you think actually.

my bet is a bite from a plant bug, such as the minute pirate bug

i'd seen them fellas about, but never knew they bit, and they gave a huge swelling like you have, rather then the tiny itchy dot from a mosquito

We took the mountain bikes down to Savernake Forest near Marlborough a couple of weeks back. We were being harrassed by horse flies, but the first I knew of the bite was a trickle of blood down my calf. I still have a red itchy lump now. Evil feckers. I've had the lump from one take over a year to go completely.

I hate it when you can hear a mossie at night as you go to sleep, which vanishes when you turn on the light

When she was a kid my sister had a strong allergic reaction to the bites and gets "bubbles" on her skin vomit

could be allergic reaction to mosi bite but id go with garden bug of some sort. In the last two years we've had a lot more complaints, especially from Londoners, about bites like that......seems to be an increasing variety of garden bugs for whatever reason..maybe slightly warmer temps and ever increasing global travel....
