The website for Qantas is a tad tied up...surprise.

Details are:

Sale starts at 8am today (Tuesday): Qantas has released details of that fantastic Ashes-related fare sale it is running with British Airways.

Thanks to the England cricket team's efforts yesterday there are 425 seats on the London-Sydney run available for £215 return including taxes, fees and airport-related charges.


This fare is based on Economy-Class travel on Qantas Airways from London to Sydney (and back to London). Stopovers are not permitted.

Travel between August 7 and September 22. There's no child discount on this particular fare and a maximum of two passengers per reservation are permitted.

Book via Qantas's website (www.qantas.com.au). Booking flights by phone will cost £15.

If you don't manage to nab one of those super cheap flights, Qantas is currently offering flights to five Australian cities from £821 return.

- Perth £821 (via Singapore)
- Melbourne £838 (direct flight)
- Adelaide £846 (via Singapore)
- Sydney £847 (direct flight)
- Brisbane £849 (via Singapore)
