TomTom ITN files

Tried to post this in the right area but no answer.. I have a GO 910 that does not appear to accept itn files - if (when) I replace it I need to be sure that I get one that can .. I'm looking at the XL IQ Europe .. but nowhere can I find that it states that it takes these files .. has anyone got one to confirm / deny this? if you have one which accepts these files, what model is it?

I have a Tom Tom One XL (I think! memories a bit shaky on this) with western Europe maps, and it takes ITN files.

I though all Tom Toms' had this feature. Can you check if it has itinary planning function?

when I get to the 'Load Route' bit in the TomTom home feature, it says 'you cannot use this feature because it's not supported by your device'

not sure about itinary planning, I'll have another delve around

Yes, you're right the tomtom Home application on your PC does not support itinerary planning for the 910 device.

This means that you have to do it manually. I've successfully created .itn files directly on my 910 device, and loaded ones from other people as well. You just need to load it in the correct folder on the 910 device when you attach it to your PC and it shows up as a USB disk. Simplest way to find out which folder it should be in is to create a small itinery on the device and save it, then connect it to your PC and see which folder it lives in.

There should be an itn folder when you plug your tomtom in with usb - browse to this folder using explorer and try placing a .itn file there.
