A690 definately has speed camera vans on it on occasions. They sit either at the bottom of the hill as you come down to the A1, Next to the garage after you come up the hill away from the A1, and sometimes they are more or less next to the Aston Martin Garage pointing back towards Houghton le Spring....
Not to often, but they are there.

Confirmed, got my 3 points on the East bound side just up from Ramside Hall A690 definately has speed camera vans on it on occasions. Thought I saw him in time and yanked on the anchors but it was too late. I actually went to Aykley heads and saw the video, just as the speed flshed on screen you saw the nose of my car dip quite heavily
