Looking for a special ops style watch.. dont want to spend more than £200.
As much as I'd love to have an MTM I think I'm down to the following.

Traser H3 Black Storm

Luminox Navy Seal Colour mark

Sunnto Core All Black

Nite MX20-202

I've read good and bad about all of them so I'm looking to the PH massive to lead down the correct path.

My x-landers strap broke (the rubber split where the pin is) but the Vector is still going strong - I think the problems with the Core have been resolved, if you go down that road make sure your Core is an 9xxxx serial number (or something like that - have a butchers on watchuseek suunto forum).
The core black is a Core with the moulded black strap, one of the websites
http://www.outdoorgb.com/p/suunto_core_black/
has it with the strap from an Orange Core but you pay top-wack.
Cheaper standard Core Blacks maybe here.. http://www.polimil.co.uk/acatalog/Suunto_-_Core_Al...?

I've got a Luminox 3905 with an £5 aftermarket black nato strap. The standard strap was too in your face!

probably not a popular suggestion here, but most special forces and regulars where G-Shocks, due the there durability and realibilty, and they are as tough as hell.

stealthed gulfman or mudman, proteck or pathfinder pwr1300

or a M5600BC.

Thay are well affordable too.

I will get my coat.

No need for coat - G-shock is probably the best real world solution, Suunto etc will give you the ABC stuff if you fancy extras but G-Shock has a deserved reputation as a good work horse in most circumstances.

yes

G-Shock's are virtually indestructible and the amount you see on wrist's in documentaries with Soldiers on the front line always makes me laugh. It comes down to "spot the model number" rather than "spot the make" smile

Nice Mudman or 6900MS is what you want. Mudman has totally sealed buttons and is pretty much everything proof and the 6900MS is totally black with a red negative display (red numbers on black background).

I really liked those as a beater as well, but did a big of research and the bezel movement are plastic and the build quality was a bit iffy as a result.

Put me off it, but I still love the look.

A slow Friday afternoon enlightened by new watch purchase. Persuaded myself I needed something a little more rugged.

just run up and down hills carrying your entire family on your back for a couple of years, then pass selection, and then they will give you one for FREE!

Arrives tomorrow!

The 6900 MS is a gorgeous watch and looks even better in the flesh, the Frogman MS is'nt too bad either.
