Liking the BBS replicas. Anyone had a set, and can comment on weight, finish, strength and quality? You'll struggle fitting E46 CSL wheels to the Z3MC. I remember someone over on www.z3mcoupe.com trying and having problems with the wheels fouling the suspension. Have a look around the forum and ask some questions, you'd be better with BBS CH which look like this:

I picked mine up from a main dealer - actually ended up a comparable cost to an ebay set, and I had the knowledge of them being proper genuine CSL wheels.
Think they were around the £1500 last year when I got them. I'm running the specific M3 Continentals on there as I was advised in my tyre fitters that the pilot sports were noiser day to day and the contis aren't exactly quiet. Plus on a all weather purpose I had read that these were better in the wet than the pilot sports.

Buying from a dealer doesn't guarantee genuine wheels. I bought a Z4m with 'CSL' wheels and they turned out to be fakes. I'd only trust a fresh set from the parts dept, but then you need a CSL VIN numberCheck the rear of the wheels for a BBS stamp.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info on the wheels, Dealer seems the best way to go. I get 10% off in BMW as I supply them with industrial pressure washers from my company. www.electrajet.co.uk
I've just bought new discs, pads, sensors, two rear springs and a strut brace all genuine parts from bmminiparts in Livingston after reading about them on the forum. Total cost approx £900 inc vat which is almost half the cost from BMW. Great to deal with would recommend to any one.
Can any one help me with regards to tunning the M3, I don't want to go nuts but are there any simple things that can be done to add BHP etc.
Thanks in advance,
Neil

There are several sites to research tuning, basically unless you supercharge which is big £s concentrate on suspension / brakes, I fitted KW V3 to mine and it drastically improves the handling, I'm not hard on brakes and stock seems fine for the road, although having had APs on my old Monaro I'm sure they would be a big improvement on the M.
