Ok, just wondering if anyone knew offhand the ve drive belt length? Is it the same as the old VT series or something else?

I'm looking for a drive belt for my VT (LS1) and was wondering what the correct part number/length was.

6pk1995 I think mate, or 6pk2000 somewhere in that space.

http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m28b0s... under £15 here

VX tore a hole in my backside for £30 for a 4pk1100 belt which I bought from camskill for £7 so I certainly wouldnt worry about getting the right GM part number. Better to just buy the same generic belt spec.

Ok update smile

Its 6pk1936 for the vxr8

Aircond was upgraded to 4pk1083 from stock 4pk1101 which was a nice snug fit, though a 4pk1080 would be ideal and hopefully will stop the belt jumping off the pulleys.

Ill let you SC blokes know if it helps. BTW. It was £7 from camskill! Beats VX rip off £30 price which lasted one hour before departing the engine on the M25.

They are all std part numbers - walk into any local motor factors and they will have them on the shelf.

You would like to think so, except then the sponsors wouldnt get your money.
One of the sponsors moderates the forum. Plenty of requests for things to be made sticky have been ignored.

Part numbers etc would be good. If a mod reads this perhaps we can please have a part number sticky!
If not, then I would like a reason why not smile

Thinks like EBC brake pad part numbers, spark plug part numbers, oil filters, air filters, drive belts etc, windscreen wipers etc would all be nice in a sticky!
