I might have missed other links for this subject but it seems TVR are moving away from Hooded cars, the real essence of what they are about...... Anyone heard any rumours about replacements for griff or Chim?

Huh? The Griffmaera replacement is (probably) the Tamora. Why not get one of those? They're great cars!
Previously I have not been a fan of ragtops at all. 
But when all my choices of car (Elise, MR2 Mk3, MGTF, S3) were soft tops I thought I would have to capitulate and get one and the a hard top afterwards. But since driving for the best part of my 3 month ownership with the roof down, and especially after this weekend when I had a particularly fine, fun drive out with the top off, a good cd, and a massive TVR grin on I love them!!!
Sad to see them go really in the TVR range, not that the Tamora is a bad car or anything, just not to some's tastes. Personally I'd love one.

So would they have to source Rover V8s then... or would they put something else in them?!?!
And Range Rovers have them still.
Although Rover do of course have their hands on a new V8 that they are nailing to their 75 chassis and calling them MG ZT 260. 20 BHP more than a 4lt Chimaera, with the possibility of more to come. The V8 comes from the Ford Mustang, but then the original Rover V8 came from a Buick.

I always thought that would be sensible - a successor to the S for about £20K. However I hear that it takes just as long to build a £20K car as a £40K car - so they take the obvious route. Pity though.
