I wonder if the first question the new owner will ask as soon as he drives it out of the lot will be:

'Hey, where are the indicator stalks?'

I'm sure Tom the Master Technician will be able to sort it!!

Because no-one has any idea how able the "Master Tech" is?

For all we know he may be like some main dealer "technicians" and if something doesn't come preassembled and drop straight in, he thinks it doesn't fit.

Assuming there is even an issue at all (no attempt was made to show the issues) you will probably find the builder has fitted the wrong engine mounts or something similar

I personally installed 4 AmerSpeed engines so far and never had a single fitting issue or any issues that had to be sorted out prior to installation.
A real plug-and-play package as far as my experiences go.

I think clearly “Master Tech” is not able at all, the majority of people the build these cars, build them in a garage at home with little or no mechanical skills at all, how many of them have posted saying their engine doesn’t fit?
I think maybe he should change his name to “Master Baiter”

I think some people expect everything to be to easy and don't like to solve a few proplems or get their nuckles grazed. If he spent less time walking around the car making video's and more time on the installation it'd be finished by now.

ETA, in fairness to A/S this thread shouldn't really be on here. We know their engines fit so the issue must be with movieman. It's probably a spoof thread anyway

Master Tom's report of the LS engine not fitting and his use of duct tape contributed to his lack of credibility. I didn't buy an AS engine, but I'm sure they build very nice engines and guess what, the LS engines they use are the same exact size everyone uses. We know they fit because we've done it and seen it done. It looks like Tom spoke before he really "sized" things up. Look at the other cars around the shop. It must be a pretty decent shop to have all those high end cars getting repaired. But, whoever shot and posted that video did more to hurt Tom's business than Ultima's or AS's. If I were Tom, I'd want that video removed. It is embarrassing to his credibility.

On another note. That is a beautifully built GTR. The factory really does first class work.

That video was shot by my jealous brother who coerced the master technician to say these things to get a laugh from me.
The quality of the car is superb
The engine fits fine
The master Ferrari technician working on the car said that this car is beautifully done
There have been no problems fitting the engine from American Speed.
I have received 2 offers on the car for more than I have paid
I don't intend to sell this car
I will make my idiot brother take down the dumb videos he shoots

Sometimes these "bashing" threads do the opposite of what the original poster intended (not saying the OP had any malice intended).
This has been allowed to come full circle and shows that the company is the opposite of what was intially represented. It is a GOOD thread for AS.
