I remember they used to let them walk around somerfield and one of them wondered off hehe

I don't believe anyone that's escaped has ever done anything nasty to anyone (from my rather hazy memory) whilst I've lived here and that's 25+ years.

Early '90s was the last one. Remember it well as there were road blocks at the end of my road - over 5 miles away. All cars stopped and searched. Probably wouldn't happen today tho as our BiB have been replaced by speed cameras.
