Who's filming with a black Dodge Challenger at moment?

I'm in the states on holiday at the moment, and we were walking down the beach in Santa Monica yesterday, when we saw a film crew filming a recognisable face (we can't remember the name at all) in a black Dodge Challenger.
The guy was tall, well built, bold and black, that's about all i can use to describe him? Anyone know what's being filmed at the moment? We are leaning towards LL Cool J in NCIS.....?
