I pass the former sight of T in the Park on my way to work.

Here it is. Notice anything odd?

Here's a close-up:

That's after a few days of cleaning.

The other thing is, tents are so cheap, why bother packing it up, folk will just leave them.

A lot of festivals ask for tents to be left behind so that they can be given to charities working overseas/in disaster areas.

One of the joys of festival clearing is the amount of wallets, drugs, jewelery and other assorted things you find.
Bet there's a lot of things that you'd rather not find mixed in there as well ! hurl

FUnny this, compared to Goodwood (which I know is smaller, but there is still camping, drinking and food etc), these festivals are a disgusting mess. It takes the rubbish left at Reading weeks to be cleared away afterwards and you can see if all from the train.

And by the time the contracted residency period expires it'll be back to roughly how it was a week or so before the festival started to build the site - because that'll be part of the contract.

Complaints are often aired about high ticket prices, but somebody has to cover the cost of the clear up.

Lol how can you seriously compare GFOS to t in the park?

it'll get cleaned up eventually, rubbish left by thousands of people doesnt take 20 mins to clean up!
