Sounds utterly sick and weird.

Yet, a little intriguing.

i quite fancy it, if only for the reason that some moron in the daily wail wanted it banned, even though he hasn't seen it, but is dutifully outraged anyway. what a plank.

sounds like it needs to be watched even if its only to say i didn't like it afterwards, i need to see it to decide.

I read that on the website yesterday. Even more funny were the reader comments underneath

the times critic [brian appleyard] called for it to be banned, largely as he thought it was st.

the only reason i'd watch it would be for charlotte gainsbourg, but then i can't see a lars von trier film being watchable.

That wail article is utter dross.

some imbecilic wail writer said:
I haven't seen it myself, nor shall I - and I speak as a broad-minded arts critic, strongly libertarian in tendency. But merely reading about Antichrist is stomach-turning, and enough to form a judgment.
he then goes on to say :
[quote]The husband and wife go to stay in a log cabin to recover from their grief. There, horrors the likes of which I have never witnessed unfold in graphic detail.
No, he hasn't actually witnessed the horrors, as he's said he doesn't want to see it.

Incompetent fkwit.

Duncan in Scotland said:
You pride yourself on being broad-minded? I think perhaps you need to be slightly less proud of yourself today. That was a classic piece of closed minded criticism, of a film you haven't seen, giving it a context you don't fully understand, and claiming a lack of morality which you couldn't possibly know - because you haven't watched the film!

It was a hysterical read - and I mean that in the least complimentary way possible.
Abso-fking-lutely bang on.

Then she cuts her own bean off with rusty scissors.

Pass the popcorn love!

It's only a bloody film! If it was REALITY posted on Youtube then yes I would be concerned.
I'm not convinced women will think 'hmmm I've not thought about genital mutilation but that kinda looks pretty cool, where are my scissors?'

caught an interview with willem defoe on bbc news last night, 2:30ish. not sure who the interviewer was [black women, really annoying voice] but she was trying to do a paxman on him and rip him to bits, make him justify the film etc. very bizarre attitude to have towards an actor i thought, and so did he. he looked bemused throughout and came off very well [she didn't], i don't know if i'd have had the same patience.

The BBC has proved many times that banning something is the best publicity in the world for the thing you're trying to ban.

Anyway, I'm up for watching it.

I've been hearing about this for a while in the various magazines and newspapers. It's just coming out today isn't it? I'll give it a shot as I watch a lot of obscure stuff.
