But You've only had Her for 17 months, what on earth has She done to deserve this?

Nothing, apart from being worth the right amount of money we need to move house! Once we are settled again and finances are back straight i might stretch to another one wink
Really wish i could do it without having to sell up but heh ho, thats the poor state of the country at the minute causing the stupid amount of deposit you need to buy a house!

Oh Christ, and there's me just thinking of "What next" too. Caterham, Cerb or Stratos. That's my choice. I've got my eye on a Caterham, the Stratos (Hawk) is mighty tempting (12" wide rear wheels - What's not to like? smile ), and now this.

Can't tell you how tempted I am.

As you both know I came so close to buying this last year. Would be great to see one of you two get it back.

How many others have bought back the same Cerb..? I thought I was the only one - sold in Feb 08 and bought again in June 09 - plus two trips from Bedfordshire to Aberdeen to relocate it either way..

Anyone else bought back the same one?

Sadly, I've no chance at the mo. I have made a promise to myself to buy one again but not until I've got a proper double garage. I found the whole experience of getting in and out of the car in the confines of my singel garage quite traumatic in case I scratched the door. Those doors are loooooong and I'm a fat knacker.

Since selling S88PDC (because I was working away from home so often I never found time to use it), I lost my job (11 months off work) and only 2 weeks before I started a new job, my wife lost hers. We won't be moving house for a while so the dream looks some way off.

I loved the reliability of this Cerb, and that you could totally trust it would stay pointing in the right direction, even in the wet. I was happy to gloat that all the stereotypes normally applied to TVRs were simply not true in this case. It's a bloody good motor, and probably the fastest car I'll even have owned.

I showed the advert to my wife this morning and she replied "Well why don't you just go and buy it back, plus you'll have plenty of change out of your budget as well that you can put back in the bank", stupidly I said "really?", then she just gave me that stare and said "You Dare" eek

I'll try again later...

Put mine in for a service whilst was away on holiday, thought I'd get some "additional essential work" done at the same time (dropped off to Joo's for some induction work and a remap....) and then turned out it needed a new clutch and master cylinder; oh and may as well have a lightweight fly-wheel put in as the old one was scored, oh and lots of consumables like new throttle cable, fuel lines, brake lines etc etc etc. I'm anticipating "that stare" when the missus realises the size of the bill....... redface

Yes but you can explain to her that its in excellent hands and the bill will be considerably less than it could have been had you not known about Joo.....then buy her some flowers and hope for the best. wink

Or could use it as an excellent argument for having it as "a keeper".... "look luv, now I've spent all that money on it, I now know that it won't need those bits replacing for at least another XYZ years".....

.... all part of the grand master plan (or something, I'll make up another excuse when needed wink )
