Woo Hoo, up and running somewhat legally!
Discussion
Got my rough looking 280i on the road after nearly nightly working on it since it arrived at the end of April. Even got an inspection and emissions sticker on it. Have put about 40 miles or so on it thus far and it has only failed to start twice
. Not bad for a car that hasn't been on the road in I'm guessing 10 years. Both times it was the intake hose popping off.
Definately will need some more sorting. It likes to run around 85-90 degrees in normal stop and go traffic with the fans running (I have 'em wired to run all the time at the moment). Should I be overly concerned about that? It doesn't go above 90 though at all.
Also as this is my first experience with a conv. TVR is the windshield and cowl really as flexable over the bumps as mine seems to be.
Just need a stinking rear view mirror set that sticks to my glass and a rear brake light switch and I would be totally smitten!

Absolutely not. While it may shorten fan life running all the time your actual engine temperature is still regulated by the thermostat.
