Second hand Giant Escape M2

I like the look of these and just want to replace my 1995 Univega Alpina 501, which was stolen. Not for serious riding but just to keep fit and not to rely on the car too much.

They retail at £350 or so and I have seen one for sale second hand for £220 ono which is 2 years old and supposedly in good condition as it has only been used in the Summer months. Pics look good.

Now my question, knowing nothing about the second hand bicycle market, is this a reasonable price for a 2 year old as it seems to be a good investment for the original owner although in percentage terms it is an over 30% loss.

in all honesty its probably a tiny bit overpriced. cheaper bikes lose value rapidly and you should be able to get it for £200. one suspects the owner doesnt really know the second hand bike market to owell... that said, if its the bike you want and its in good condition then buy it.
