anyone tried a bmw engine?

been looking around at engine options and something like an m5 engine could be cool, anyone tried this? any problems with gearbox choice?

When I started my build ages ago I choose a BMW M62 V8 to meet the emission regulations here in Germany.
I will not use it in the end (long story) but a friend of mine using a S62 V8 from the M5 has nearly finished his build.
Only problem left is how to modify the ECU.
You need to modify the chassis, manufacture flywheel, gearbox adapter, exhaust system and so on..
I now have an enlarged M62 (4,8 L) lying around useless including gearbox adapter and flywheel.
You can use any G50 variant with the gearbox adapter.

How about this... more weight but better distribution as geabox is in front of engine rather than rear.
