Does my SL500 (R230) have a heated windscreen

I've just had to get on to my insewerance as my windscreen has been broken - big crack.

Everything is straightforward enough, he knew the spec of the car, screen should have TV antenna, rain detectors etc. However he also stated that the windscreen was heated, standard fitment.

I cannot see any evidence at all of the screen having heating elements in there - I'm expecting almost invisible vertical elements when I look closely. Does anyone know what I should be looking for? Car is a 2002 SL500, R230. Is my windscreen in fact heated?

I rang MB in Stockport in the end where it's been serviced from new - they confirmed that it doesn't have one.

I've never seen a front heated screen in my time at MB. Didn't even realize it was an option?
