I was successful in bidding at a charity auction for a VIP visit to the factory in Gaydon.
Just wondering has anyone else taken this visit and is it an interesting way to spend a few hours?

Yes very good. The owners club organise several throughout the year. You can see them being made, ask questions etc etc. No photography along the lines, but do keep your eyes open just in case you spot something you should'nt...

All the stuff you shouldn't see is kept in a seperate room, try and get them to take you in there. I got my mobile out when I was in there and got jumped on immediately as they thought I was trying to take pics hehe

Yes, well worth it. Although - despite the cutting edge facarde the factory has a slight 'cottage industry' and less than professional feel to it in places if you happen to have been round the Porsche factory say.

I went to the factory a couple of days ago, was really interesting and well worth the visit. I couldn't take any photos in the factory but took a few in the reception area:
