Hi guys, removing my old manifolds. Everything going fine until last bolt, snap...!Got a good 10-15mm sticking out of head. Tried a bit of heat some +gas but the little bugger will not budge. Its the bottom right bolt looking at the engine from the drivers side. Even jacking up the engine doesnt leave a lot of room to get in about with a drill. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

It's always the last one isn't it. Try heating the head and then putting ice cubes on the end of the sticky out bit. The combination may give a bit more gap. Alternatively a squirt of WD40 every hour till Christmas Eve. Have a good Christmas and try again on Boxing Day.
Best of luck

you could try a stud remover if theres enough to get hold of, but I would keep applying the WD40 before trying.

The latest low sulphur diesel is not as good as the older stuff as it has lower lubricity. Fings aint wot they usta be!

Try 'Plus gas' it's proper penetrating oil and leave it to soak for as long as you can.

TRy to find a tool called a speed wrench - the jaws grip into things like nuts .. etc.. well worth a try.

You learn something every day. For example, I hadn't appreciated that it was the Sulphur that made diesel penetrative - Streaky

Perhaps the old trick with flatting two sides, and using a spanner could be an alternative?
It helped me a couple of times, just at the point of becoming desperate.

Good luck,

Rob
