Help Flat battery

Went out to use the car tonight and its dead , I hadn't shut the boot properly and the lights been on all week .
So i can get in the boot but not in the car to plug in my trickle charger .
I have located the plug behind the wheel arch but cant see a pos / neg marking on it . I assume i can clamp my halfords charger onto the plug if i can id the correct terminal , it does have a trickle charge setting .
Is there another way in ?
Can I clamp a slave battery onto the terminals under the car to open the doors .
If there is another way in can some kind owner mail me please .
