any one fancy a run on and around the woodhead pass on a midweek evening?

Roads tend to be quite and would be good of making use of the light nights before it goes all dark and gloomy again.

Provisional date of wednesday the 5th of August now penciled in. I will check the weather the day before and unless it pissing it down it will still be on.

meet up at a pub called the dog and partridge located here http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en-GB&ie=UTF-...

meet at 7:30pm for a 8pm depart. route i have planned takes about an hour so everyone should be on there way home for 9 ish or we could head back up the dog and partridge for a drink if people like.

so whos in?

just to note because im a big pussy and dont like driving quick in the rain there will probably only be a couple of days notice to when this will actually take place.

Kind regards

Alex

I'd be up for this providing it's dry.
Did the 'oopnurthring' a little while ago with a few pistonheaders, but it misses out most of woodhead which I think is a great road when not too busy.

we wont be doing much of woodhead in all honesty as its always full of lorrys with little chance of overtaking but the roads surrounding woodhead are good and quite.

Sounds good to me. A number of decent roads around there as long as there are no Sunday drivers infront of you! Might be a couple of us depending on which day. May also be in the Ghia which is obviously a lot slower than everyone else but can't wait to actually drive it, just need to get the horn, indicators and windscreen wipers working..... but not all at the same time!! biglaugh

We did a run on the Woodhead last week on the way to Buxton. Get off the Woodhead at Crowden across the resevoir and head for Whaley Bridge via Glossop. The road from Whaley bridge to Buxton is fantastic.

Hi Alex - hows the Mini going?

Will have to venture north again sometime and do that route we did with Sparky and Mitch ages ago - I was riding with Mitch in the Audi. I did buy an MX5 in the end, by the way!

I might be up for any impromptu hooning soon though, keep me in the loop!

Fair do's. I have a fair idea of where you'll be heading.
