What's your opinions? I'm gonna add some subtle, visual mods soon.. anything imparticular I should do?
Also, I'm looking for an induction kit. Does anybody recommend any makes for the 1.25 Fiesta?

A bit off topic, but just wondering why you swapped your 206 for it, as funnily enough I drove both yesterday and certainly prefered the 206.

For what I use the car for it's brilliant, it's a much smoother ride, it's comfier & it doesn't handle light a yaught (which the 206 did). It's an 8/10 so far, whereas the 206 was lucky to be a 4/10!

Not really, am personally not a big fan of the 206 and am looking for a car to change to hence why I decided to drive the fiesta to compare, einstein...

Fair enough, great little engine in that car I must say much more lively than the 206's, handles amazingly also, although to be fair the 206 isn't that bad!

you must be the only one then. look up ANY review in the world and it will tell you the fiesta is a much better car with the 206 being one of the worst ever small hatchbacks.

From the first week I owned my Peugeot, I wanted to spend as much as I could to make it better.. but before this I would have had to spend around £1500 getting it road worthy. I noticed the parts for the Peugeot were rediculously expensive & flimsy. ie, I had the anti-roll bar link replaced, & a month later the same on needed replacing. I don't even drive like it would be damaged, was probably the pot holes, but still.. I shouldn't have to constantly be repairing the car. Luckily though I had a three month warantee when I bought the 206. Even the guy a bought it off though almost gave up on repairs because it was so expensive.

I sold it in the end simply because it was absolutely useless on petrol, & couldn't afford to keep the car running.
Now I've bought the Fiesta I can relax, it's only done 44k miles since 2000 & mechanically it's pretty much amazing smile

The moral of the story is... DO not buy a Peugeot 206, which is a fair few years old unless you know everything about the car. As in the long run, it'll cost you more to repair than what you paid for the car.

Just some advice smile

I find teh 206 to be dangerous , the pedal are thrown in the footwell and everytime i brake in one i have to put my foot at an awkward angle to depress it , also the driving position is horrific , the steering wheel is too far away if you have long legs , and the seats are uncomforatble.

also for a 1.4 its gutless

thankfully the car is 6000 miles away in south africa so i dont have to drive it often .

i was never a fan of fords after having to drive 1.1 popular vans at BT infact them and NA 1.8 diesel escort vans put me off ford massivly , but the little fiesta like the one above is a right laugh , that 1.25 engine is a peach and loves revs

Same here, it took me the best part of three/four month to get used to the pedals, do you find they're too close together?
I'm 6ft 4", and found it really uncomfortable, everytime I got in the car I'd have to adjust the seats so I'm sitting upright & not laying down. Also what's with the tilt adjusment thing with the Peugeot? If I'm not bolt upright then I'm laying down - you could never adjust your seat on the motorway, they're lethal!

To be honest with you buddy, I've only owned this particular car for a few weeks, but I've got many relatives who have owned and now own the car - and all find it a very good buy. There's very little that goes wrong with the sigma (that's the zetec) engines before 65k miles.
They're very look engines, the 1.25's a nippy car, but's also good on the motorway - a good puller.

I'm sure if you ask around you'll get many positive comments about the car, and few negative smile
Good luck with changing the car smile
