Punto Coolant light

Just worked out this is what the symbol meant. And just wondering how I can make it stop? Also my engine is quite noisey when its warmed up and the fan is running. Louder than I would expect is normal. Any help is much appreciated!

8 Valve- Head Gasket/radiator
16 Valve- Water pump/head gasket/radiator

It means the coolant level is too low - top it up!

If you've been running with low coolant for a while you may have caused expensive damage to your engine!

sorry its an 8 valve. I seen anti freeze and summer coolant stuff in tesco would that be the stuff I need? If not where can I get it from?
Only beein running with it coming on for about 2 days. Take it no real damaage should of been caused?

Only owned the car two weeks. So iv not in all honesty I had a look there and I cant really see where the level is at as the coolant resevoir bottle is a yellowy colour :S


Should I source the correct coolandt? Drain the existing coolant?
