Removing Mastic

Here's one for you guys that I've not come across before. A mate has asked if there's anything out there that will remove mastic from fabric seats. He's looking at changing his van and the one he's looking at needs a bit of a cleanup inside.

at a guess...heat would be best bet. but make damn sure they really are fabric seats and not that funny polyester pseudo fabric that melts!

hairdryer and some kitchen roll...if you can get it warm enough to get sticky and slightly thinner you should be able to blot tack a lot of it off the surface.....

absolute bd otherwise tho

I reckon 2nd hand seats or new seat covers will be the only solution.
