Is this normal practice by them? Firstly, I always make sure I pay my monthly bill within 14 days so that I receieve the 3% (I think) discount for early repayment.

This month I was given my monthly bill on the 11th July. Duly paid yesterday, 12 days later. Yet I open my post this morning to find a letter dated the 20th July warning of third party debt collection for non payment of the bill (which is £38.72).

What the fk? They know I always pay my bill as I've been with them for the last 3 years, and its always paid within 14 days. So why issue me with a notice of debt collection 9 days after issuing the bill.

Is it worth giving them an earful or is it a waste of time and patience? fktards

Just pay the bill and tell them why you are taking your business elsewhere!

I'd paid it before I even got the letter! Trouble is, are any of the others any better?

They will just start sending out the debt letters instead of the bill soon.

duE-On are a shower of ste. In my experience of dealing with them across many sites every single error they have made has always resulted in an over-charge. Miraculously they have never made an under-charge error.

Npower send out red "we're going to sue you" letters 4 days before the "payment to be made by" date.

They are all as bad as each other.

Call them up - I've always found them easy to deal with. I was once overcharged, but 5 mins later they'd sorted it, and sounded sorry at least...
