Off with Panel

So I bought my self a nice new alloy and decided to change the scuffed one on the front. Wheel off, noticed the panel in the passengers wing with six rusty screws in it. So while the wheel is off change the self tapers for stainless, off came the panel and all the sealant and Ahh what is all this vegitation doing in here.



I asume it comes in from the hole under the front indicator?

Is that the warm air fan is the cold same place on other side? mine has been making some little noises and maybe I have a green collection in there as well do you guys clean in there once in a while??
