Ok finally got my Classic Blur LT frame serviced and built up.

I have a set of Marzzochi AM SLs (06) that have a slight knock and need a service.

I can also get a hold of either the Coil Pikes or the bolt through Revelations for around £350.

Any opinions - windwave might be able to upgrade the fork I have now, but half of me thinks the £70 would be better put towards a new fork.

The question in my mind is - would the 09 pike or revelation be any better than a fully working AM SL and if so out of the pike or the Revelation which is better?

I tried asking on singletrack but didnt get one single reply.

If the 'zocchi's work(ed) fine, then pay the £70 and have them serviced. Less maintenance-intensive than the Pikes (50 hour lower oil bath changes, f'instance), more durable, and £320 saved. Result!

SIDs and Rebas, IIRC, with the latter in World Cup trim.

Personally if you go down the service route I'd use TFT as IMO they're better. Tim really is a genius when it comes to suspension fettling. Every fork I've ever sent has always come back better than new, and if you call him and tell him what "issues" you have with the standard fork, he can usually do some specific fettling to sort it.

Thanks for the tips guys - going to phone Tim and Windwave get some opinions.

First shake down of the bike showed up the clonk quite badly so want to get that sorted.

Other problem is my wheels cant cope now...

Oh the costs frown
