Popped in to Biggles to have a pint and watch the qualifying. Can't get a beer bevcause it's now illegal to serve alcohol between 4 and 6pm. New rule that came in 2 weeks ago apparently.

So, I'm sitting in a bar surrounded with blokes that have 3 pints stacked up for the duration and I've got a cke because I got here just after 4.

I'm fking furious!

What is the fking point! Asking around, no one has any idea, including the staff and manager.

Absolutely fking pointless!

Rule for good, or just in the Ramadan run-up? I was pissed off last week, nice 3 day weekend - got back to the clubhouse after a round in the baking sun, and no beers due to Eid.

Its not a new law its just some places dont have a licence for that period of time! I've forgotten on several occasions when going to the Mansil sports bar and Address. Both of them are not allowed to serve it between those times and never have been allowed for the year or so they've been open. Generally walk round and into Left bank till they open hehe
