Thom, if you are still interested in coming to TVR for a placement for the two months that you mentioned, then I have some news for you.

I spoke to Ben Lang (one of our engineers) today and he says that it should be possible as long as you get an application in as soon as possible.

You should address the letter to :-

Mr D Oxley, Personnel Manager
TVR Engineering Ltd
Blackpool
Lancs
FY2 0JF

Ask for a placement working in the Development dept and say that you have spoken to me, and who knows I may see you in September!.

Lee J,

A thousand thanks to you!

If possible, I actually would like to (have to) spend twenty four weeks at TVR.
I'll have a talk to my advisor and hopefully send the letter afterwards...

I hope to see you there

In the meantime !

Anybody remeber the Jacques Tati film "Trafic"???

Plot Digest:
At Altra Motors, Mr. Hulot designs an ingenious camper car with lots of clever features. A lorry hauls the prototype to an important auto show in Amsterdam, with Mr. Hulot alongside in his car and a spoiled, trendy PR exec, the young Maria, in her sports car packed with designer clothes and her fluffy dog. The lorry has a every imaginable problem, delaying its arrival. A flat tire, no gas, an accident, a run-in with police, a stop at a garage, and numerous traffic jams showcase vignettes of people and their cars. Through interactions with these down-to-earth folks, Maria gradually loses her imperious conceit, becoming much more relaxed and fetching.

Well Ned can play the part of the "fluffy dog". The accident scene was one of the funniest moments on film........

(Been a long day.......)

Test Driver. Surely there must be a position for Test Driver.
I'll offer my services, just deliver me a new model or prototype and I'll will gladly drive it everyday and report back on my findings. TVR would have to insure it, but, I'll gladly fund any petrol I use
How about test driving every 100th car off the line as a quality check - I'll do that too.

All very kind offers but I think that we are ok at moment, although I will let you all know if the situation changes.

Mark, it is suprising how many people want the test drivers job, I wonder why!.

Well Lee as a current owner (no I don't mean those small black things that rabbits drop when you pass them in a TVR) I really feel I could lend an objective view on past versus present.
Ohhhhhhhh go on Lee, you know it makes sense - go on, just once...Leeeeeeeeeeee
