so do you actually see the supercharged exiges on track ?

or are they more garage queens that have actually only ever been monstered by shagged out old S1's on the rare occasion that they've actually gone to the circuit ?

I was there too smile

Tooling around in the clio cup..

Managed to get a passenger ride in that supercharged atom.. bloody hell, that moves, what a excellent car.

Was your lotus the blue one? if so, how did that past the noise test, it was really loud, louder than the fireblade westfield.

Yeah that was mine, measured 90db static somehow but on the second cam it screams its head off, the de cat doesn't help tongue out

Fitting a silenced de cat soon, should knock a few db's off I hope.

Two Exige S's on track at Goodwood with me yesterday. Pretty quick as well.

I've seen quite a few Exige S's on track days recently, including one I instructed it's owner in at five track days on three circuits, Oulton, Silverstone and Donington.

I wasn't 'monstered' by any S1 Elises either. In fact at Siverstone an S1 Elise span off trying to stay ahead of us while 'we' were monstering 'it'.

The data logger shows that it (standard out of the showroom, 240 bhp, on 048R's) is as quick around Oulton as Elise S1's in the Elise Trophy.

Wouldn't data logging count as just another form of timing on a trackday Tim? nono

I took my '06 Exige S on 4 or 5 trackdays in the 18 months or so I owned it.
On track, it handled like nothing else I've ever owned TBH. In the end though I had to get rid of it 'cos I never quite made my peace with the shocking build quality of the little rattle-trap.

Not if the data is only analysed after the track day for training purposes and is not accessed during the track day, nor used for 'benchmarking', nor for displaying lap times on the dash during the track day. Oh, and not for publishing times on forums after the event either! smile

My car has done one or two trackdays. smile

Probably quicker than Class A cars as mentioned (more noticably so in the wet) but still get 'monstered' by the occasional S1...
