Hi, i've got a '98 Audi S4 which has a fault with the airbag control module. Does anybody know where i could get this repaired (prefereably local to Falkirk). Heard there was a guy out near Bonnybridge or banknock.
Any help would be appreciated. On holiday 26th-30th, will reply to any suggestions then.
Thanks.

If you have an accident, do you wnat to be reliant on a repaired Airbag ECU? frown

The only time you can test if it works could be too late.

hi Si, got your email at last (my dodgy computer). I'll give the guy a call and see what he can do.
Take on board the advice regarding a repair. Would only get it repaired if i was more than happy and confident that it would work. I've not priced a new one yet, but may be worth paying the extra for piece of mind. Kinda hard to put a price on safety!! I could always get it repaired, then crash in to my garage to see if it works.

What do you think??
1. Repair
2. Buy New
3. Crash car to test

That's my airbags all fixed now, got the last bit done this morning. When car stripped down, turned out that had corroded/broken wire going in to airbag controller. Had another knacked wire which was also fixed. Passenger airbag had a clip broken that holds the wire in place. Air bag then started reporting fault with passenger airbag which turned out to be a faulty part of airbag controller. Tried one from a scrapy but my car wouldn't recognise it. Ended up getting my controller repaired by company down South and everything works as it should with no faults showing.

Work was all done by Auto Doctor in Bonnybridge, very reasonable and good job done. Would recommend them, thanks Simon.
