Had my first go at 1/4 mile drag racing at North Weald today.

Didin't really know what to expect & must admit, was quite apprehensive (bricking it) before my first run.

I have to say, it is one of the beft things i've ever done & gave me the most amazing buzz!!

I managed 4 runs, my best time was 13.51. Everyone was complaining that the track was crap & had no traction, so i'll take that for my first attempt.

Can't wait to do it again, i hear Santa Pod is the place to be!

Well done and a pretty respectable time. Did North Weald advertise the event anywhere as I've been keeping an eye out for one there for a while now.

Not sure really, a friend of mine told me it was on. Didn't see anything on here about it, hence i was the only TVR at the meet. Loads of nice cars down there, must have been 200 running including bikes, so was quite busy.

Drag racing? 7oaks motor club ran a solo in the massive north weald airfield car park on sunday, you should've been there instead! TVR's are much more fun round cones than in straight lines. =)

Shame I didn't get a chance to nip over, I would've if I'd known there was a cerbera about. I was a bit busy falling off the course in the chim. =)

Span out twice, plenty of fishtailing too, going to take me a while to work this car out!
