Truck Break down recovery

Do any of you have any and if so with who,
As I now know the AA don't cover anything over 3.5 tons.

Luckily I managed to fix it myself and get home.
but made me miss the race

I'm with the RAC for my "day car" and they have said they can help on an hourly rate.

Mines a 1983 so if yours is not covered mine won't be.
AA would not even come to try and help.

Leigh when i had the truck it was covered by Transporter rescue tel [phone] i am now with the AA but will be cancelled and i am going back to these guys. I had no trouble when a tyre got punctured it just cost me the price of the replacement tyre and the fitting was covered for free.

RAC Commercial do a policy where you register and then pay by the hour if you need to call them out

Check out some of the Horsey mags ass well.

There are LOTS of old horse-boxes floating around that NEED breakdown cover.

I used to use the Horsebox rescue people who then did a race transporter policy, but I found it expensive for something I hope not to use. The RAC policy is a pay as you use - you pay nothing until you need help and then a fixed rate per hour. Its nice for peace of mind that if you are stuck there is a number to call.
