A constant string of error codes, trim falling off, A/C working when it wants, heat in the cabin, rattles and knocks and im thinking if i should have stayed with the 911. Honestly thinking of putting it up for sale

Sorry for being flippant but that post made me chuckle, I also have an 06 Sag and don't have any of the problems you mention, I would suggest putting the car in with one of the better garages to get them to sort out your niggles, I feel very privileged to own such a rare and outrageous car and to think about swapping for a Porsche sends me cold.

My 05 plate Sag is great now I've properly fixed the bits that I paid the dealer to fix. It could be a matter of making a few repairs to items that have never been properly fixed and then start to enjoy it.

just the usual Sunday morning TVR niggles then, part of the usual maintainance routine

get them sorted, and stay on top of them, and they are awesome cars....nothing quite like them

..or visit the dealer every time just to glue a bit of trim back on, and within 6 months you will be fed up and selling

im afraid they are not built like Nissans or Toyotas, but neither do they look or sound bland

Get it sold, and buy that 997 you're lusting after. I'm sure you'll be far happier once you've brought (sp) a more convenient car to own. If you're this dissatisfied this quickly, I seriously doubt TVR's are for you.

I have had a number of 911's from every days cars to RS toys. The Sag is a different animal but I have never had anything fall off it and it does not rattle, if it is looked after then you should have no problems.

I am also not far away, I will meet you with Lee if you want to talk it through or compare.

That's what the dealers want you to believe because they can't be arsed (or dare I say, aren't competent enough?) to sort it.

It's a car, not some kind of inanimate object. There's no witchcraft involved in building it nor in maintaining/repairing it. Niggles don't just appear as by magic - you trace them, you sort them -properly- and they won't return. I've got a 16 year old TVR that works - unconditionally, just as a car should. It cost me a packet (not to mention 15 months that the car spent somewhere else than in my garage) in the beginning, mind. But it is possible to own and drive a TVR and just need to keep on top of things that wear out instead of falling from one nasty surprise into another.

Had mine for 2 years and so far nothing has dropped off it! nothing rattles, and its never let me down, Stick with it and Im sure you will change your opinion of it.
