RR Sport chrome mirror covers

Hello, I have just got a RR sport which came with chrome mirror covers (top half). I dont like them and want to remove them. Does anyone know if they are easy to remove? Are they just glued on and if so, how do I get them off without breaking them or the wing mirrors? Thanks for reading. S

At a guess, I would say that they are held on with some sort of 3m tape.
