While sitting at your desk reading this, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. As you're doing this, draw the number 8 in the air with your right index finger. Your foot should change direction.

What the hell is going on here, people?

doesn't happen if i start my figure 8 clockwise, but if i start the figure 8 counter clockwise then yes, the foot definitely gets confused and tries to go in the other direction.


Weird as .....


yes i do have too much time on my hands .....

I think my foot's broken confused It doesn't even try to change direction or speed.

Index finger anti clock wise and foot clockwise? I've just tried it and so have others in the office and it makes our feet change direction. laugh very odd.

I'm not seeing that either. My feet and hands seem seperate. How interesting.

This was on telly a few weeks ago - people who play drums or do other tasks where they've had to learn to use feet / hands for specific but non-linked tasks don't change direction of their feet.

So there's an inate tendency to link the two, but it can be unlearnt. smile

My foot hurts when I do that. I broke it kicking a KTM the other day.
