Wannabe Owner Intro - History Query - Advice
Discussion
Hey, been lurking on here since selling my 350Z recently. Been looking for something more specialist and driver focused so the usual suspects popped up, Exige, Noble, TVR.... but having read some of the user experiences on here I think the Noble is the way to go. I'm based up in Aberdeen, have only ever seen two going about here.
A local garage has a black 3R, N88 LER and was wondering if anyone knows the history of the car? I've had a search on here but no joy.
Think I've done enough reading to answer most first time silly questions, but I did want to know about outside parking, although my flat is in a nice enough part of Aberdeen, its onstreet parking. I'm not an offshore worker so it wouldn't be unattended for weeks on end, but the 350 ended up with all sorts of unexplained marks.

Hello there abdn 1982. I only had the car for 3000 miles. Car is in good nick. The owner before me was a 40ish woman who traded it for an r8. The first 3500 I cannot confirm though. I was told it wasn't tracked but how can you prove this?
I can definitely say the car was looked after by me though! I believe it has a double page spread in the evening express tonight!
P.s. The number plate is not staying with the car

I'd reserved the car with the garage awaiting a test drive this evening and had finance ok'd but sat and number crunched (big mistake) this afternoon at work and it just doesnt add up, stuck in £200 a year road tax, got £800 quote for insurance and put servicing at around £6-900 for the 12 months. The onstreet parking aspect has freaked me out a bit aswell. Looks like this could be the one that gets away but I'll def revisit it once I've got sorted, its not the kind of car I'd like to have and be penny pinching!

No offence here, but what sort of running costs were you expecting on a 170mph. 0-60 sub 4 secs,5year old mid engined car that was 54 grand when new?I'd reserved the car with the garage awaiting a test drive this evening and had finance ok'd but sat and number crunched (big mistake) this afternoon at work and it just doesnt add up, stuck in £200 a year road tax, got £800 quote for insurance and put servicing at around £6-900 for the 12 months. Went to see this last night, gorgeous car but I was a little concered by scratching along the door edge where it closes to the body, looks like its taken a hit off a wall when opening the door. Could've also done with a clean, although it had been pretty heavy rain on and off yesterday. Slightly concerned by the mileage, is 40k+ for a handbuild motor getting into dangerous territory?

Not necessarily, (mines done that sort of mileage and the bottom end shows minimal signs of wear, the rest of the car is holding up well too) and it should of had all the mods done by now too!
