500SL or CLK430 cab

I'm after a weekend car for around 5k and quite fancy a comfy convertible barge with a V8.

I've come across a few early 90's 500SL and one CLK 430 cab, are there any other options?


SL will be nearly 20 years old, CLK nearly 10, both about 170 bhp/ton, 0-60 in 6.something, over 150 max.

Will running costs and reliability be comparable? (6k miles a year)

Any thoughts / opinions / suggestions?

CLK430 Cab at £5-6K is incredibly cheap. Check for history rust and rust.
