Hi, I have been called back for a second Interview with a company, First interview was with my would be line manager, this time it will be with them plus the HR Director and then a separate interview with the department MD.

The agents have already advised that the interview will involve a lot of competency based questions i.e. “explain your weaknesses”…”tell me when…..”

Has anyone got any helpful advice?

I am currently in employment but this role is in my eyes a step up, both in financial and carer terms.

IMO a lot of these questions do not require direct experience of a scenario, more how you can relate their question to a situation, (real or imagined) they never check up on them so be prepared to bend the truth a little. Base it on actual experience and characters and call it thinking on your feet.

Walk in, light up a fag, put your feet up and make yourself comfortable, and ask when they want you to start.

Failing that, be confident, be yourself, act as if your already working there. I think people overlook something crucial on interviews, not only are they interviewing your skills for the role, but they also want to see that your going to fit into their team personality wise.
