Just a heads up to those interested in taking to the virtual skies, the Xbox 360 demo is out tomorrow on XBoxLive smile

PS3 Version should be out in the following few days I believe.

I hope the controls are better than in BF43!

I really liked the control layout for Heroes of the Pacific on the original xbox.

Couple of things:

Graphics are stunning, as is the damage and the explosions...

bad things,

anything other than 'arcade' mode means the plane spins as soon as you touch the stick...
bloody annoying.

On the contrary,

Bad Things:
Arcade mode. What kind of plane has a maximum speed of 400 but you whack the WEP and you're going 1000, yeah right.
No take offs :-(

Good things:
everything else. As a player of all the old IL2 games on the PC, it should take you 5 minutes gun someone down, its not an easy task. In fact i've played many missions not hitting anyone at all. Also that level of stalling depends on which plane you're in etc. It's awesome. Finally a realistic air sim for the xbox. None of the others are very entertaining. If my joystick wasn't in a box somewhere i'd be interested in trying it out. Anyone done that?

Can you use any USB joystick?

I like it, hard to control but getting the hang of it in simulator mode. I'm finding it hard to spot the enemy without the help of the HUD though...
