Used Elise Inspection - South West

I'm seriously considering purchasing a used Series 1 Elise ... but I'd like the extra confidence of having it inspected by a specialist / expert / enthusiast.

Is there anybody in the South-West how could spare an hour or so to view a potential car?

I'd obviously cover expenses plus some beer money on top!!

Or any companies people recommend?

Not that I'm an expert but where in the South West? Several dealers and indies around and a few knowledgeable owners in Devon / Cornwall

Have you tried South West Lotus Centre http://www.thelotuscentre.co.uk/ ? I'd certainly trust their opinion.

Thanks for the offer! I've just had a look on Google Maps ... and Bridport doesn't look too far from Yeovil? [About 40 minutes]

I'm viewing the car initially this Saturday, if I think it's worthy of a second look could I possibly ask for your help?

I got mine checked out by Dick Lovett in Swindon before I bought it. I never saw them face to face as the previous owner took the car there. Seemed fine enough on the phone and the report was detailed. What I don't know is where the liability stands should an aspect of the car fail which they have checked and agreed is sound.

No problem atall - Yeovil is only half an hour from me. Is it an S1 or S2 you're looking at?

I would probably ask to take it to Sportmotive in Salisbury and have them check it over.
