50% Dexcool to GM Specification 6277M with 50% good clean water. A 5.7 litre VTII takes 12 litres (6 litres coolant/6 litres water) a 6 litre VE takes approx 11 litres. One part number I can find for coolant is 92145527
The recommended coolant should be in the back of your owners handbook under the title specifications.
Also I am not sure if the UK has a different specification because it is a tad cooler over there generally.
As mentioned it should be raspberry flavour not lime!
I know Nulon in Oz make a version of it but don't know about the UK.
"To drain the system, undo surge tank cap. Then remove the hose clamp from the radiator hose at the lower left
hand radiator side tank."

I'm using 100% coolant, didnt bother diluting with water, no ill effects so far that I've seen and at around £2 a litre not that expensive either. As for draining it remove lower radiator hose will work for removing the majority of it but when I replaced my radiator it still took several days for some of it to "drain" out the block and old radiator.

Does the standard coolant have no colour and smell? When I checked mine it just looked like water only on the dip stick thing and couldnt smell anything which I thought a bit odd really!

Looking at my coolant it has a very faint pink tinge to it, I think thats normal. It's meant to be chenged every five years at the latest. check the build date.

Good point always think the car is only a couple of years old when in fact it was built in 2005, will probs get that on the list to be changed at the next service.

Lol I will tell him that next time see the pair of you! I was mildly concerned at first regarding the noise from the exhaust I have got to admit!

Through Autobahnstormers you can purchase Vauxhall's stuff at a good discount (should be from any dealer)
