Dont hold your breath for 50 year celebrations of the F mount!

2 lens's, a complex 7 ED element/21 element 70-200 VRII, and a rework of the 18-200.

A D300s, 720/24 video and SD card slot

And a D3000 with 11 AF points and a dozzen my owner is stupid modes. 10.2mp.

50th anniversary was June this year according to Nikon: http://www.nikon.com/about/news/2009/0303_f-mount5...

Are you saying the new lenses are not F-mount?

I'm saying this year, the 50th anniversary of the f mount, they have launched a whopping 4 (fmount) lens's, 3 being DX. Not so flash and not what a lot of nikon users were wanting I suspect.

35/1.8 DX
10-24 DX
70-200 II
18-200 II DX.

Ah, I see - Nikon is launching new products and you don't think much of them.

I'm happy the D300s has been announced, hopefully the D300 prices will drop and I'll be able to pick one up on the cheap smile

I wonder what canon will react with. They really need a 7d or to pull off something special with the 60d to claw back something in the body space.

And Canon if you're reading, by 60d i do NOT MEAN A 50D WITH fkING VIDEO

It will be interesting to see how the 70-200 VRII stacks up on an FX body to see if they have physically opened it up a little...

Gonna be 120-450 if you believe this road map that is seeming pretty accurate right now:

http://nikonrumors.com/2009/07/08/nikon-roadmap-le...

Probably a lens I'll pick up assuming its mid level in cost.

Why does no-one make this in CF format?! If these things work then they seem a much better solution than all the Nikon wifi hardware.

Guess it depends what and how much you shoot then.

So, tempted to move over?
