Looking up very old ex

I don't usually make these kinds of post but it is really bugging me!

Recently I saw this particular ex in the paper. We are talking 16 years since I last saw her, and in that time I never really thought about her at all. In that time I have got married, had kids etc

She was, at the time the most serious girlfriend I had ever had, we were both about 18 and possibly the first love of my life. She is now married with child.

Now I love my wife and have no thoughts towards the ex in that way but I really cannot stop thinking that I would love to get in contact just to see how she is. I know many of you will not believe that!

Due to her being relatively well known in her field I have her email and phone number but do not know whether to call or email or do nothing?

If I make contact am I asking for trouble, will she just think I am weird and not reply..? Appreciate thoughts.

ask your wife what she thinks. If she has an epi at the suggestion you can be fairly certain that she'll not like it if you actually do make contact

On the other hand she may not mind. I'm still friends with several of my exes, indeed 2 came to my wedding, and my wife gets on with most of them!

Hmmmm.... Personally don't think it's worth the aggro.
If your missus told you she wanted to catch up with an ex-boyfriend, even though you may convince yourself it's harmless, it still sows the seeds of doubt.
What could you possible achieve from contacting her except knowing what she's done in the past 16 years.

Don't do it, it will only cause problems.

On the other hand, if your trying to rekindle the old romance, don't tell the other half and see how it goes. You never know, she could be bored with her partner.

I hope it's the first part though...

If I wanted to fk someone behind the wife's back, why on earth would I revisit old ground that I'd already left once for good reason? Personally I'd say someone new was far more of a threat.
