Apologies for not posting in the big Season 4 thread - but I dare not open it!

I've followed the show religiously, but only on DVD (as I don't have sky), and I got up to the end of season 3 last year. It had me riveted, and I'm looking for the whole final season.

Am I correct in thinking that the "Season 4" and "Season 5" boxsets available on Amazon are in fact just both halves of the real 4th season, that was cut in two by the writers strike?

I deliberately put off buying the season 4 boxset last year when I discovered it was only half a series - and daren't look online for any further details in case I stumble across any spoilers!

From what I can see the BSG Season 4 DVDs are the first part of the last series and series 5 is the last half of the last series wobble The Season 4 discs also contain the extended episode 'Razor' which is essential watching too.

After you've caught up with that lot I would suggest watching the pilot 'Caprica' which is very good and explains a bit more on the creation of the cylons.

There is also another BSG film in production called 'The Plan' which features a few of the BSG crew and Cylon copies. If follows the Cylons point of view rather than the Galactica's so that looks rather good.

James Olmos says, that after watching, The Plan, fans will have to go back and rewatch the whole series with this new information...and I plan to comply.biggrin

Oh man! Thanks for the update, we're latecomers too and have just got to close to the end of Season 3 on DVD. We're hooked, but I do like to know there's an end in sight - hate these series that just go on and on with additions. Didn't think BSG would do that.

I already own the pilot on DVD (the 3 hour one where it all kicks off?), and have seen Razor via the wonders of the internet.

I'll have to get hold of the new series 4 and 5 boxsets, and watch the whole thing through from the start.

And annoyingly, it's coincided with being off work for the whole school summer holidays... what am I to do?!

Just got into BSG.

Watched the pilot on a punt from Lovefilm 10 days ago, and think it is brilliant.

I am currently at the start of series 2 with about 80 or so episodes and .5 seasons to get into.

Brilliant discovery!

Caprica is a pilot for a new show, set 50(?) years before BSG.
